Difference between HST (Hydrostatic) & Manual/Shuttle? - Compact Tractor Transmissions

Often when people walk into our dealership shopping for tractors, they are unsure of what transmission is right for them. As many of you guys may know, tractors originated with standard transmissions but over the years the transmissions have gotten more and more advanced with Shuttle, HST and HST Premium transmissions.

Today we have Marshall Kirby giving a quick 11 minute discussion on the differences and a demonstration on how to drive them all.

Showcased in video are the following models:
1st: Mahindra 1526 HST Tractor
2nd: Mahindra 1526 Shuttle Tractor
3rd: Kioti CK2610 Standard/Manual Tractor
4th: Kioti CK3510SE HST Cab Tractor

Although we are just showcasing 2 brands, these transmission options will be similar to most tractors on the market including
( John Deere, Massey Fergason, Kubota, Kioti, Mahindra, TYM, Branson, LS, Yanmar, Rural King, etc;)
