Prokofiev’s Cantata for the 20th Anniversary of the October Revolution, or just simply the October Cantata, contains some of the loudest music ever composed. In spite of the theatrical requirements of the piece, such as artillery fire and the voice of Lenin, and the grand optimistic finale, the work was not performed in Prokofiev’s lifetime.

La Cantata por el 20 Aniversario de la Revolución de Octubre de Prokofiev, o simplemente la Cantata de Octubre, contiene alguna de la música clásica más ruidosa jamás compuesta. Muy a pesar de los requerimientos teatrales de la obra, tales como salvas de artillería y la voz de Lenin, y de su gran final optimista, la obra nunca fue ejecutada durante la vida del compositor.
