I failed to mention on the video that one of the significance of having Koi as a design on the ferrule is because the baseball team of Hiroshima is named "Carp". Which by the way, is a beloved baseball team because the citizens of Hiroshima support them and not some company. Hence the design is a nod to the city itself because after all Kumano, is in Hiroshima.
