The Suicide Squad. Also called Task Force X, they are a covert team of expendable super powered uh… mercenaries? I’m reluctant to say heroes. Suicide Squad is of course one of DC’s most popular teams of villains around. This team originally appeared in the comics in 1959 in issue 25 of the Brave and the Bold. But this isn’t the only version of the team that we’ve seen. In fact this team would be revamped less than thirty years later in John Ostrander’s Legends #3, and the next version we’d get would only evolve the team further, giving us the version that more inspired the take on the squad that we have today.
