I was not expecting this lens: Nikon 200-500 F5.6E VR Preview

This is a preview of the Nikon 200-500 F5.6E VR Lens. To say I was expecting this lens would not be true. This honestly came out of nowhere but I must say it's a great move by Nikon.

To have a mega zoom lens priced to sell at $1399 compared to the Sigma and Tamron MEGA zooms is a big deal.

I think this lens will be perfect for those outdoor shooters who want a ton of reach without the huge price tag. If you're shooting outdoor sports, nature, birds, plains you name it, this will shoot it.

Keep in mind this is not the best choice for shooting indoors as you are locked in to a fixed 5.6 aperture.
