Fender 50s Baja Telecaster Polyurethane Removal

It all started with a chip that formed in the paint. I heard about this happening a lot on Fender guitars made in the early 2000's. This model is a 50's Baja classic series from 2006. A little heat and it peeled off like a snake shedding its skin. I couldn't believe what was underneath. Looks like Ash and certainly weighs as much as Ash. Four piece body (usually 3) but the grains match pretty good compared to some I've seen especially being four separate pieces of wood. I got very lucky. It was like ripping up cheap carpet and finding a beautiful hardwood floor under it.

Gonna refinish it with Stew Mac's Nitrocellulose lacquer and can't wait to hear the tone difference. The link is below
