ROAD WAR - Running the Roads In Iraq 2004-2005

This documentary tells the story of my unit, the 1544th Transportation Company out of Paris IL. I was in Iraq from 2004-2005, serving as a truck gunner that ran convoy security up and down Iraqi highways. While my husband was in Afghanistan, I was going through one of the craziest times of my life, and then lost my best friend Jessica there and 4 other 1544th brothers/sisters. It was mind blowing.
This video documents the contest between the insurgents and the Army transportation companies for control of the road in Iraq from 2004 to 2005 - the worst years of convoy ambushes.

We had a total of 5 KIA and total of 34 wounded.
