Breakfast Done, Bags Packed… Day 4 Starts Now – Son Doong

By 9:00 AM on Day 4 of the Son Doong expedition, breakfast was finished and the camp was packed. Dry bags piled up, day packs set by the tents, and the group waited for the signal to start the day’s trek.
Son Doong Cave, in Vietnam’s Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, is the largest cave in the world. Life here follows a rhythm of early meals, packing up camp, and setting off for long hours of hiking through some of the most incredible underground scenery on Earth.
