A career highlight - down the COAL MINE!

This has to be my proudest moment at work as it took a hell of a lot of physical and mental strength to get to Kellingley coal face. I'd asked the owners for a year to go down before it closed for good. This piece then went on loads of BBC News outlets. I'll never forget the dirt and the heat and the men who loved their life underground. A Yorkshire industry now consigned to history.
