Discovering Hemingway's Paris in 2021 [Part I]

- - - The romanticism of the 1920s Paris described in Ernest Hemingway's "A moveable feast" seems worlds away from today's Paris under semi-lockdown. Can I find the magic of Hemingway's Paris by retracing Hemingway's steps?

In this video, I explore Hemingway's old haunts in the Latin Quarter, around the Seine, the cafés near the Boulevard du Montparnasse, and Saint-Germain-des-Près. Sorry for the choppy edits, I'm still getting the hang of this editing thing. I decided to quit being a perfectionist and just upoad the video! I've now made a follow-up video where I cover the later parts of Hemingway's life.

Itineraries are based loosely on Walks in Hemingway's Paris by Noël Riley Fitch. The book has more itineraries including the Rive Droite (Hôtel Ritz Bar) etc... but this video is focused on Hemingway's first days in Paris as a young man.
Note: When this video was published, we were under semi-lockdown where bars, restaurants, and cafés were closed. We were allowed to venture within 10 kilometers of our home between 6am and 7pm.
