2022 Porsche 911 GTS First Drive Review

Our first drive behind the Alcantara steering wheel of the new 2022 Porsche 911 GTS.

This is the most track-focused, driver-focused Porsche 911 this side of a GT3. It features more power than the Porsche 911 Carrera S with 473 horsepower, and its suspension and braking system is derived from the Porsche 911 Turbo.

The new GTS is available with a seven-speed manual or an 8-speed gearbox, and it starts at roughly $136,300 in the US and $150,700 in Canada.

The 2022 will appeal to buyers who want a 911 they can drive every day and still take to the track and enjoy an extra edge on weekends. It's quicker than a Carrera S with a 0-60 mph time of 3.1 seconds, but it remains very usable and actually comfortable on the road.
