Lossless Scaling Frame Generation Comes to Linux: LSFG-VK Overview

Lossless Scaling’s beloved Frame Generation tech has finally landed on Linux through the new LSFG-VK fork, promising DLSS style frame boosts for any Vulkan game—even under Proton. The port already supports the latest v3.1 algorithm, integrates with MangoHUD for quick toggles, and even ships as a Decky Loader plug in for Steam Deck, though that version stirred a bit of drama over trademark use and code attribution. With guidance from Lossless Scaling’s original developer, contributors are now focusing on OpenGL back ports and an easier GUI installer.
