We looked into getting traditional power as a back up to our off grid solar and wind set up, but the cost was just to high. So we decided to double down and grow existing solar and wind power over time.
The power company wanted $4,200 CDN to run power lines to the shed and for that cost we can grow our system large enough and not add a power bill to our expenses.
