LMS 45407 Firebox Work

Some video footage taken today of the work being carried out on the firebox, Colin is inside the firebox reaming and tapping the holes for the new copper stays(note the different diameter of reamers and taps) the yellow radial mark next to the finished hole denote the diameter of the hole and the letter denotes the length of the new stay. The new stay can now be screw in now the size and length is known, The new stay is then "knobbled" to seal and lock in position followed later on by head being formed. As Ian was having an "Away Day" NO black paint was being applied!!
