Don't take these time frames literally (it's just a meme) as rates of muscle growth will vary a lot between individual. Depends on factors like your starting point, muscle building program structure/adherence, bodybuilding genetics and exactly what you consider to be "impressive" hypertrophy results in the first place. Based on a combination of all that it could take as little as a few months (yes, some outliers with top tier genetics can see significant results in a fairly short time) up to a few years to achieve an impressively muscular physique. The point though is that for most people in most situations, the process will take longer than you think to build muscle significantly. Keep this in mind as we head into the new year. Nothing wrong with having New Years resolutions, but nothing magically changes in 2022. The answer is still the same: success with your fitness goals (or any big goal for that matter) comes down to small consistent efforts patiently stacked up over the long term.
