Top Dumbbell Shoulder Exercise (Wider Delts!)
There are a wide variety of effective lateral raise movements you can include in your shoulder workouts (the best shoulder exercise to build the side delts), but this has been my go to for quite a while when it comes to dumbbell variations. The bench keeps the torso locked in place to prevent excessive momentum and also helps to standardize the ROM of each rep, making it a great choice to build shoulder muscle. A slight forward lean is also ideal on lateral raises to optimize the line of pull on the side delts to build bigger shoulders, and the bench assists with maintaining the proper angle throughout the set. As with any lateral raise exercise, keep the weights on the moderate side and aim for controlled, deliberate reps rather than just trying to swing around a ton of weight. Give this a try as it's a very solid movement to get those "3D delts" and builder rounder, wider shoulders overall.
