Lion tick treatment

There are some instances where Mike can handle certain GG lions to be able to administer necessary medication without the need to sedate or tranquillise them. This was one such instance. Mike has amazing lion instincts, 20yrs experience at GG & a unique relationship with certain lions over all their lives ( namely Smokey, Shalom & Bright eyes and some females ) which means they consider him part of their pride & he can approach them after carefully observing their body language.
Bright Eyes has been suffering from an excessive amount of ticks just under his mane which was obviously irritating him, and such a large amount is not necessarily good for his health. So Mike gave Bright Eyes the spray treatment needed and removed most of the ticks. As soon as the weather is less windy, we will burn his camp to kill all the ticks and parasites in the grass there. You can see how relieved Bright Eyes was to be itch free again...
