Alternative Camera Angles

I show alternative camera angles for several things, including natural phenomena in the game as well as TASes I’ve made in the past. These alternative camera angles were filmed using a ROM hack created by Peter Fedak [https://www.dropbox.com/sh/jebbmcjbr02fgd9/AAC3atO_nE48TMwx0LIyZUfua/Mario%20Code/special%20roms?dl=0&preview=pannen+cam.z64]. This ROM hack gives the user much more control over the camera, as the user can fine-tune the camera’s position and focus. Specifically, the camera can be put into one of several modes:
- follow an object with a relative angle
- follow an object with a fixed angle
- stay in place and watch an object
- stay in place and watch a fixed point
The user can modify the camera mode, camera position, focus point, and object to follow by modifying values at certain addresses in memory. However, since locating and individually modifying these values can be tedious, I added a tab to STROOP that’s specifically dedicated to facilitating with this [http://i.imgur.com/tnxRzmZ.png]. STROOP can be downloaded from here [https://github.com/SM64-STROOP/STROOP]. Thus, if you want to use this ROM hack, then I strongly recommend using STROOP to facilitate with the camera positioning.
