Immunotherapy has provided improvements in the outcomes for many major cancers, however, the pancreas is relatively impermeable to immune cells, which is reflected by a less positive response to immunotherapy approaches in pancreatic cancer compared to other cancers. This session will educate participants on the challenges of optimizing immunotherapy approaches for the treatment of pancreatic cancer, current practices, and ongoing research that will improve the efficacy of immunotherapy at increasing overall survival in pancreatic cancer patients.
