Ujjayi Pranayama | Breathing Basics | Yoga With AJ | Calm Mind & Body | Simple Breathing Techniques

Ujjayi Pranayama, also known as ocean's breath is a breathing technique that helps calms the mind and body. In simplistic terms, it is a three part breathing which first fills the lower belly, slowly moving to the lower rib cage and then to the upper chest, finally.

In this episode, AJ takes you through the intricacies of Ujjayi Breathing, explaining how to practice it properly. In addition to this, she also explains a little bit about the So-Hum breathing technique which is the stepping stone for any meditative practice.
