Professor Paul Chandler completed his Bachelor of Science with Honours in Psychology at Sydney University and Masters of Science in Psychology and PhD specialising in Cognitive Science at UNSW. After completing his PhD Professor Chandler became the first person in the field of education to win an Australian Research Council Fellowship. Professor Chandler completed two terms as Head of School of Education at UNSW before becoming Dean of Education at University of Wollongong. He is a past President of the Australian Council of Deans in Education. In 2008, at a National Press Club event, Professor Chandler was awarded as one of Australia’s top 10 scientists.

Professor Paul Chandler is currently the Pro Vice Chancellor at UOW and the Executive Director of the $44 million Early Start initiative at the University of Wollongong. He currently sits on numerous private and government boards.
