Side dressing corn with custom Yetter Magnum toolbar

Side dressing corn in May 2011 in Sullivan, Illinois. We're pulling a former John Deere 845 row crop field cultivator that has been converted into an 11 row Anhydrous Ammonia (NH3) applicator. We mounted Yetter Magnum high speed row units to apply the NH3. We're using an aNH3 system without a pump to distribute the NH3 evenly. The hitch uses a Scotts MFG hydraulic winch to hitch NH3 tanks. We're pulling the toolbar with a John Deere 7810 tractor.

We can pull the toolbar at about 7.5 MPH max with our small tractor. The Yetter row units seem to do better with speed. They smoke a little bit, but it's just water vapor. It does quite good in wet soil, much better than expected. Doesn't do well in exceptionally compacted soil - but what does?
