Vintage 1976 FS Commercial filmed in Sullivan, IL

In the Summer of 1976 our local FS Coop filmed a television commercial at our farm in Sullivan, Illinois. My grandfather, Stanley Emel (1932-2015) is the farmer pictured in this video.

I (Brad Emel) sit on the Board of Directors for South Central FS. At least one current Sullivan FS employee has a grandfather in this video.

This video does NOT have audio and was converted from film to dvd...poorly... by CVS years ago. We thought this video was lost to time until my cousin said he had it!

A couple stories I've heard:
* The director was from New York and had never seen corn before. He instructed his assistants to "remove those nasty yellow things." That idea was quickly stopped when the entire FS group said "No, that's the actually CORN EAR!."
* The director attached a tree branch to his bucket truck to simulate being in a tree.
