Demonstrating a MIDI valve chest for testing Orchestrelle reed banks outside of the organ

Orchestrelle reed banks are notorious for being impossible to test outside of the organ. If you discover a problem once you have the organ reassembled, then it’s a time consuming process to tear the organ back down again.

This device allows each chest to be throughly tested before reassembly to make sure the pouches/pneumatics and valves are working properly as well as detecting speech problems with the reeds.
