Peerless Colonial Elite orchestrion chest and pipes play "Collegiate"

I just finished restoring this pipe chest from a Peerless Colonial Elite orchestrion. The small pneumatics had been previously recovered but they were badly hingebound. Also the valve stems were very rusted due to interaction with acids in the leather nuts and the threaded portion of the stem was binding. Work included all new pneumatics, new stainless steel valve stems and guides, new valve leather and gaskets, and refinishing the exterior of the chest.

The original pipes were long gone and someone had substituted flute pipes from a church organ in their place. I built new violin pipes and mitered them to fit in the available space inside the piano cabinet.

Here they are playing the peppy tune "Collegiate" hooked up to my O roll test orchestrion.
