DSM-5: The Eating Disorders Workgroup

Dr. Timothy Walsh, Chair of the DSM-5 Eating Disorders Workgroup, joins his colleague Dr. Evelyn Attia in a discussion of the reasoning behind the significant changes in the manual's eating disorders sub-categories, most notably the recognition of binge eating disorder. They conclude that the newly-revised DSM will increase clinicians' ability to identify eating disorders in their patients and improve their care.
