GREEN EARRINGS Drum Cover by Dov Skipper | Steely Dan - The Royal Scam

The fabulous Green Earrings by Steely Dan from The Royal Scam album released in 1976 which also features other great tracks like Kid Charlemagne, Sign in Stranger and The Fez to mention a few.

The drumming on the original track played by Bernard Purdie, who is ripping it with the feel, groove and surprising amount of fills that are so integral with the track. I have tried to play in the style of, with what had been imprinted in my memory.

I remember at a young age being in the back of the car saying "Dad, play Green Earrings again", it was probably one of the main tracks that sparked my love for Steely Dan and look forward to playing on some more.

The backing track was from Karaoke Version.

The drums are Gretsch Brooklyn's, Craviotto Snare.
The cymbals are a mixture of Zildjians and Istanbul Agop.
