Zagg Fusion Glass iPhone Camera Lens Protector Review - Sigh....

I honestly can’t believe I’m going to do a review on this product. It is not good. The final kick to the crotch for me is the fact the adhesive on this product is so bad that a little bit of pressure on the camera lens is going to move it.

And if it moves, you’re going to loose it. If you’re wondering what a picture looks like with the camera protector slightly off, it looks like this. Not a big difference but the moment there’s more direct light. It looks like this. Is that a light bulb or an ethereal being trying to contact me?

Installation of this product isn’t bad as you wipe your lenses, take the back off the install tray and slap it on.

Zagg claims that the glass fusion is a hybrid glass product which sounds cool. Now I’ve only used a handful of hybrid glass products but still, I shouldn’t be able to cut it in half without seeing on the glass crack right?

Honestly, glass shouldn’t scratch at a hardness of 3. Normal screen protectors scratch between 6 and 7. Plastic scratches at 3. So basically a penny is going to scratch this product. A penny is definitely not going to scratch a naked lens protector.

Now I know that the idea of the camera lens screen protector is to protect against more scratches but when the majority of things that are going to scratch protector aren’t going to scratch the actual lens...am I missing something?

Now when I was writing this review, I was thinking that this product was only 10 dollars. It’s ¼ the cost of a normal screen protector so I shouldn’t get that upset should I?

But then I realized that the Spigen product is 15 and it offers a bit more for your lenses and the Rhinoshield one’s are 10 bucks as well are made from actual glass.

Honestly, take the 10 dollars and buy yourself a giant roll of clear duck tape. Slap that on your camera lens and trim to size using a kitchen knife.
