PM Modi not in a good mood about China border dispute, says Trump

US president Donald Trump has said that he spoke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the ongoing border dispute, which he described as a "big conflict," with 1.4 billion people in each country with "very powerful militaries." He said "India is not happy and probably China is not happy." He went on to add to his previous day's tweets, saying that if India and China thought it would help he would be happy to be mediator or arbiter.
Since Trump's remarks, the Indian ministry of external affairs has said that there has been no conversation between PM Modi and the US President at least since April.
