DIY Altered Mirror Frame - Ikea Ung Drill - How to paint plastic frames & how to create vintage antique look using acrylic paints, step by step tutorial.

I used acrylic paints and mixed media techniques to customize a synthetic, black frame into a vintage, antique piece. The Ung Drill mirror from Ikea is still available at least in the US, but if it's not available where you live (it's not available in my country any more), of course you can use any frame and alter it like this mirror.

You'll need a black frame, white gesso (or paint, I used white furniture paint), bronze and gold acrylic paint to create a beautiful vintage look. I also used just a little bit of Inka Gold (color old silver), but that's totally optional. Great room decor / Ikea hack for those who love vintage shabby chic style!
