You will need a minimOSD module and an FTDI adapter.

The new minimOSD extra 2.4 firmware has a special firmware for flashing the Charset now, so just load the special charset firmware onto the minimOSD module first and then load the charset. Then flash the normal plane or copter 2.4 firmware after and configure as per this video.
