“Parade of the Wooden Soldiers” arranged and hand cut with a razor blade by Leonard Sebring.

This roll was arranged and hand cut by Leonard Sebring of Gardner, Kansas.

In the 1930’s, Leonard was on the animation team at Walt Disney and worked on several projects including the full length animated film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs as well as many of the Silly Symphonies cartoons.

Leonard had a George Steck Duo-Art player grand piano and enjoyed arranging and cutting his own piano rolls. He obtained blank roll paper from the American Automatic Typewriter Company and used the tracker bar holes to make pencil marks on the blank paper for the notes. He then cut out the note holes with a razor blade.

He perforated hundreds of songs in this manner. This particular roll was perforated in April of 1958.
