From Fashion To Art : Flavio Lucchini

From Fashion to Art celebrates a new permanent exhibition, of the work Flavio Lucchini, Italian Art Director turned Artist par excellence. As the Creative force behind Vogue Italia from the 1960's, he provided an essential showcase for designers such as Giorgio Armani, Gianni Versace and Gianfranco Ferrè, as well as photographers including Oliviero Toscani, Giovanni Gastel and Paolo Roversi. Together with his life companion, Gisella Borioli, he founded Superstudio, before turning exclusively to the creation of his own personal art. Ideas and inspirations came from masters such as Picasso & Michelangelo, as well as time spent in the company of friends including Kenzo Takada, Andy Warhol, Federico Fellini, Diane Arbus, and many many more. In true Retromodernist style, Flavio's work establishes time-lines and links to greats of the past, but always reshaped and forged into his own personal style.
