The Colosseum, also known as the Flavian Amphitheatre is situated in the centre of Rome. Colosseum is built by three emperors known as the Flavian dynasty and is the largest amphitheatre ever built. The Colosseum could hold up to 80,000 spectators, it was used for gladiatorial contests and public spectacles, animal hunts, executions, re-enactments of famous battles, and dramas based on Classical mythology.
