"Submerged in Good Hope" An Underwater Dance Video - Tracee Kafer

Visiting my parents in Florida this week, and I jumped in for a late night swim my first night here... and suddenly got an idea staring at this beautiful, underwater light.

This little experiment took two sessions to get the camera in optimal places on my own... ah the challenges of little-to-no equipment. :)

In these freestyle sessions, besides having a lot of fun, I learned quite a bit more about fluid movement - go figure. Navigating water, staying under, being able to be clear with choices, breathing (or...not breathing), changing levels, making shapes, all with the resistance of the water added so much challenge and made for stimulating research. This video looks slowed down, but in fact only a clip or two did end up getting modified - the magic of this element!
