Five rescued raptors fly back into the wild

On September 24, 2020, IFAW’s Beijing Raptor Rescue Center (BRRC) released five raptors back into the wild near Qianling Mountain in Beijing, China. The five raptors included one northern goshawk (Accipiter gentilis), two common kestrels (Falco tinnunculus), and two Eurasian hobbies (Falco Subbuteo).

IFAW's BRRC was established in 2001 to care for sick, injured and disoriented raptors as well as those confiscated from illegal traders. BRRC has rescued more than 5,300 raptors in the Beijing area in the 20 years since.
