What are Longevity Genes?
I had the pleasure to host Dr. Nir Barzilai, author of the book “Age Later” during one of my Ask Me Anything webinars
Nir is the Founding Director of the Institute for Aging Research at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He is a former Israeli army medical officer, and currently, he is a Professor of Medicine and Genetics. As a Scientific Director of the American Federation for Aging Research (AFAR), Nir is leading the clinical trials of Metformin on 3,000 individuals to prove that aging and age-related chronic disease can be delayed in humans
In this conversation, we discussed: Who and why should take Metformin? What medications have the potential to prolong life? What are "longevity genes", and what is the upper limit of the human lifespan?
