This is the one known (to us) 1939 Harvest Moon Ball newsreel broken down into individual dancing heats and with identifications added.

Lindy Hop dancers featured are: Norma Miller & George Greenidge, Lucille Middleton & Frankie Manning, Wilda Crawford & Thomas Lee, Jr, Connie Hill & Russell Williams (winners), Esther Washington & Billy Ricker, Mae Miller & Walter Johnson, Consuella Parris & Steven Richardson.

Though there was a Shag division this year, none were shown in the one known 1939 newsreel.
