BALTICSEAL eToro Trader Review

After adding the trader "Slow And Steady" to my portfolio, many people got in touch with other suggestions for ETF traders on eToro who I might want to have a look at.

This trader review focuses on one of these suggestions. His name is Yuri Zemtsov and he goes by the title 'Balticseal'. Looking at his portfolio, it's a real mix of 100% ETFs focused on different parts of the globe. He's covering U.S treasuries, emerging markets, Europe, China, and U.S small cap companies (hard to find on eToro).

His risk scores are low to medium (mostly on the lower side) and his max drawdown for the last 12 months is under 4%, which is amazing given the profits he's been making.

He holds trades for a long time - an average of over a month, and I think that if I copied him, I'd choose the 'copy open trades' option as I think he's watching the portfolio, and I wouldn't want to wait for a month and half before my funds get used...

Looking at his stats and his chart, he handled the March dip very well, consistently making profit throughout the downturn, and again once the markets changed direction. Actually, he appears to have got out of the market when the worst of it hit - I could see that from his chart, which is also encouraging. Preservation of capital is really important to me, so I like to see someone willing to just take their money out of the market when it's too dangerous.
