In this talk, Jiachen (Jessie) Zhang explores the significance of the minority in recorded history and how it should not be overlooked.
Our society values the history of significant figures over that of normal individuals—yet Jiachen (Jessie) Zhang hears the whisper of the voiceless minority. As the co-founder of Qibao Dwight High School’s History Club and the current leader of Shanghai Culture Club, her passion for history and her city’s culture have inspired her to take part in TedX. In her spare time she is a volunteer guide at Shanghai Jewish Refugee Museum, near Huoshan Park in downtown Shanghai.
