Abrar, instead of denigrating individuality, I would agree with you if you denigrated egoism - putting your interests Above the interests of others through control, domination, dehumanization of the other, authoritarianism.
Individuality is not a con. It's the source of our sense of self. It's the "I" that says "Thou" in dialogue. It's our unique nature - the source of the gifts we have to share with others.
Individuality is an accomplishment. The problem is Egoism, not Individuality.
