With so many video game series being adapetd for the screen, from Halo, The Witcher, The Last of Us and Amazon Studios greenlighting a new sci-fi TV show based on the popular Fallout franchise, the idea that other streaming services may pursue adapting Bethesda's Elder Scrolls universe dosn't seem impossible.

HBO will soon have a new post-apocalyptic world from The Last of Us on screen with the series coming in 2023.

The rights to produce a live-action project based on the Fallout games was purchased by Amazon in 2020. Shortly thereafter, Bethesda Game Studios producer Todd Howard, who had served as director on various games in the series, was signed on to executive produce.

Nothing is official yet, but we wouldn’t be surprised if developer Bethesda, which makes both Fallout and Elder Scrolls, didn’t want to stop at just one of its iconic series getting the small screen treatment. The Elder Scrolls is one of the most popular RPG franchises of all time, so it would have a build-in audience.

Any Elder Scrolls series will have the history and lore to back it up.
We don't expect to get any real details about Elder Scrolls 6 until Starfield—Bethesda’s sprawling scifi RPG—releases. With their shiny new space game being Bethesda’s development focus, it’s a safe bet to make that there will be a wait before any Elder Scrolls info is revealed.
