STORYLINE:
Russia's national Unity Day holiday was celebrated in Novosibirsk, in eastern Siberia, on Friday with a patriotic concert dubbed "We are Russia - we are together".
The event featured Donbas bands from the towns of Shakhtyorsk and Yenakieve in the Donetsk region.
Soldiers held a large Russian flag ahead of the event and sang the national anthem.
People also participated in folk games.
There was exhibition of crafts, and a photo zone with the theme of World War II.
Russians across the country celebrated Unity Day to commemorate the popular uprising that led to the expulsion of Polish–Lithuanian forces from Moscow in 1612.
