After a while playing with the EPEver eBox-WIFI-01 I've been able to get it to act as a WIFI to RS485 bridge so I can use it with the EPEver Solar Station Monitor software. I can still access it from the Android app as well, but only when the android device is connected directly to the eBox.

So this means I can now happily monitor all the parameters from the solar shed from the house! Excellent news as the weather starts to turn.
