2022 Alumni Cup: A Rube Goldberg-inspired Competition
Two weeks’ worth of brainstorming, collaboration, and creative ingenuity put to the test within a 90-second timeframe: That’s the thrill of the annual Alumni Cup competition, hosted by Maryland Engineering’s Engineering Alumni Network each February to celebrate National Engineers Week. Alumni Cup is an annual engineering design competition. Teams of students from each of Maryland Engineering’s eight departments compete against one another in a head-to-head challenge to develop a Rube Goldberg-inspired machine that will perform a specific task within certain parameters. Congratulations to the Department of Fire Protection Engineering, who claimed victory and the 2022 Cup!
