Fire Prevention Week: Safety Message from Steve Kerber '03, M.S. '05
Maryland Engineering joins the National Fire Protection Association in celebrating the 100th anniversary of Fire Prevention Week (FPW). Steve Kerber (’03, M.S. ’05)—a 2022 inductee of Maryland Engineering’s Early Career Distinguished Alumni (ECDA) Society and vice president and executive director of UL Research Institutes—shared this safety message at the September 23 ECDA Society induction ceremony. This year’s FPW campaign, “Fire won’t wait. Plan your escape,” works to educate everyone about simple but important actions they can take to keep themselves and those around them safe from home fires.
