Sights of Dotonbori, Osaka, Japan

Dōtonbori is a bustling stretch of shops and restaurants that truly comes alive at night! In the Namba district in central Osaka, Dōtonbori stretches along the Dōtonbori Canal and is linked to Osaka's famous shopping stretch, Shinsaibashi-suji via the ever-busy Ebisubashi, which sees an endless flow of pedestrians during shopping hours.

This area used to be popular for its theatres but these days, both foreign and domestic tourists flock to this area to sample on Osaka's famous cuisine such as Takoyaki (octopus dumplings) and Okonomiyaki, as well as enjoy the sights of Osaka's famous landmarks such as Glico Man, Kuidaore Taro and Kani Doraku Crab. In the side streets along Dōtonbori, you may find Hozenji Temple, a buddhist temple established in 1637.

The bustling and very vibrant atmosphere with that zest of quirkiness makes Dōtonbori a must-visit when you're in Osaka!
