About The Video:

This week, we're in 'Earnings Season' which is one of the most potentially volatile times of the year for equities, and if we're not careful and make a few silly mistakes, we could put our entire portfolio at risk.

In this video, I talk about what earnings reports are, how frequently they happen, and how they can cause market volatility which in turn can cause us problems if we're not prepared for that volatility beforehand.

I go over some of the common mistakes I've made as a beginner, including using too much leverage when I had no idea how the markets worked... Placing trades with too much of my equity on individual trades, and a general lack of knowledge about how periods like 'earnings season' can drastically alter the volatility of assets and cause unexpected scenarios like the dreaded 'gap down' which I've discussed in my previous video here: https://youtu.be/DiyrklP6ekM
