Stanford Prison Experiment (Torture)

The Stanford Prison Experiment tells the true story of a psychological research project at Stanford University in 1971. Male college students were recruited to play the roles of prisoners and prison guards. In spite of the fact that the project involved volunteers in a mock prison, researchers were amazed at how the guards quickly became abusive once given authority. The results of the experiment were so alarming that it was stopped after only one week.

Directed by Kyle Patrick Alvarez and written by Tim Talbott, the film stars Billy Crudup, Ezra Miller, Olivia Thirlby, Nelsan Ellis, Ki Hong Lee, Tye Sheridan, Miles Heizer, Michael Angarano, Jack Kilmer, Nicholas Braun and Chris Sheffield.
