感染症の拡大により自由な活動の機会が失われた2020年—人々が行動制限に翻弄される中、渡邉氏が新たなプロジェクトの撮影地として選んだのは、地元・品川区だった。不自由な環境から新たな道を開拓したご自身の経験を共有し、参加者に「見慣れた日常を見つめ直す」ことの重要性を語る。キーワードは、”Restriction & Realization”。
2020 started with an unprecedented pandemic, slamming the doors of new opportunities for all. Despite the entire movement being limited which caused a social confusion, Mr. Watanabe selected his hometown, Shinagawa City, as the next location for his photo shooting project. Proposing the keyphrase ”Restriction & Realization,” he shares his experience overcoming limitations and explains the importance of taking a closer look at our ordinary days, as a method to seek out novel ideas.
[Profile] 品川区出身。上智大学法学部国際関係法学科卒業後、会社員を経て写真家として独立。「まち」「人」「食」の撮影を中心に、有名雑誌や広報誌から地域に根ざした写真展まで、幅広く活動を行う。全国通訳案内士。
Born in Shinagawa City, Mr. Watanabe graduated from the Department of International Legal Studies, Sophia University. Beginning his career as an office worker, he then became a professional photographer, shooting towns, people and foods. His work covers from images for prominent magazines and public relations to locally organized photo galleries. He also works as a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter.
